    Main Combi 30HE DHW Problem

I dismantled the diverter housing and replaced the valves and both diaphragms. I can see why a plumber would replace the whole thing, very time consuming. There was a small amount of scale inside but the valves were not seized, and we live in an area with very soft water. I put the thing back...

    Main Combi 30HE DHW Problem

I closed the CH flow valve and tried the hot tap. The water is now not warming at all. Is this correct for a problem with the diverter valve? I was expecting the opposite assuming this would prevent water entering the CH.

    Main Combi 30HE DHW Problem

I see, thanks chaps, makes perfect sense that this would be the cause. I shall close the CH flow valve and test later. I know you suggested to replace instead of clean but what do you think of the valve repair kits as below? Would save a few quid...

    Main Combi 30HE DHW Problem

Thanks for you fast replies. That is correct HW works and gets properly hot when the CH is on. If the CH is off it only gets warm. Could the problem be with the diaphragm then or another part of the diverter valve? It was my understanding that if the pins are moving and operating the...

    Main Combi 30HE DHW Problem

Hi all, Hoping someone can give me some advice as to the cause of the issue I am having with my boiler. Boiler is approx 5 years old and has been pretty reliable but recently I have noticed the hot water is not heating properly. This seems to be getting worse and is now to the point where...

    New Underground Drain

Thanks for the quick replys. Yes it was the pre formed-plastic inspection chamber I had in mind. When you say grafted on at the low junction, do you mean to cut the clay pipes (one going to the road and one from next door) before the junction and replace both junctions with the inspection...

    New Underground Drain

Hi all, I need to lay a new section of underground drain from the back of my new extension. The purpose of which is to carry rainwater from the downpipe and waste from the kitchen sink. We have a combined rain/waste water drain so that should make things easier. I have excavated the end...

    Right lads, porcelain tiles!!

Never tiled with porcelain before! Any help would be much appreciated!! I hear they are a b@st@rd! I'm on 60 x 60 for the floor 60 x 30 (cm) for the walls. Suppose the only way to cut them is with a diamond blade cutter or angle grinder? thanks in advance.

    Combi boiler hot water output

House is a 3 bedroom semi with one bathroom. No boiler at present, house was in a terrible mess so has been completely gutted. There had been a combi in at one stage but it had been fitted on a grant for an old person by the council so there were pipes running up and down the wall...

    Combi boiler hot water output

Was hoping someone could give me some advice regarding the dhw output from a combi boiler. Have been looking at a few boilers and want something that will give me a decent pressure for a shower. Will there be much noticeable difference between say 12.1 litres/min and 13.5 litres/min? The...
