    RCD Testing

    Yes, those results are a pass. I was also told there should be 6 sets of results, however the Megger MFT1553 and 1552 which I use are both good testers and considered by many among the best will not do a In/2 at 180 degree. Therefore if my tester can't do it - I can't either. in this case...

    "I'm competent and know what I'm doing - oh and I have no idea where 0.1V came form or why my RCD tripped!" Wonder why he asked a forum a basic question when he is fully competent himself. If you dont' know why the RCd tripped put the scredrivers down and get it done safely

    Hello, first request fro help, I've been asked to do some work by the council on some bus stop lighting and and one the RCD is not operating with the push button. I've switched it off, but trying to find a new double pole RCD 6A 30mA - having no luck. Anybody know where I can get one? Thanks

    Can't believe this thread! Tingling means stop bloody using! You will get hurt! Never heard of anyone testing faults by the amount of tingling. A tingle is an electric shock, you may be lucky and it won't get worse, or you may be unlucky and die!

    Mis-informed quote of the month

    A welder once said to me his extension lead wasn't working. I pointed out that someone had parked a forklift on it so the electricity couldn't get through - same as a hose isn't it? Funny watching him get the forklift moved and try again!
