    No it was a dishwasher that dropped on the tiles. The rotten battens were only discovered when the skirtings were removed for tiling underneath them, I’m paying the 600 myself by the way not an insurance claim.

    It was impact damage to tiles. Insurance are using their own contractor for tiling job, majority of kitchen out.

    Ok so it was the pipes well done gasbanni and many thanks! problem is they are solvent welded into the soil pipe and there is only a very short straight coming out of the stack before it goes into the leaky bend structure. Can you undo a solvent weld or is there some kind of fitting I could use?
