Quadrant Shower Screen - track and side glass profiles misaligned

Thanks. They are the fixed glass panels, with a slight curve, getting more pronounced towards the middle of the quadrant edge. Not possible to have them upside down - both panels are the same - we switched therm around to check but still get the misalignment sadly. Stored them flat in the...

Quadrant Shower Screen - track and side glass profiles misaligned

We are installing a shower screen onto the supplied shower tray. Tray is fine but weeks later, when we are finally ready to fit the enclosure, there appears to be a problem. Waiting to hear back form Victorian Plumbing but essentially the two side glass curved profiles only match the track (top...

Central Heating won't come on at all or needs HW on!

We have a regularly WB boiler (with a Megaflo for HW, 14 rads mainly with TRVs and Wiser controls) and are having 2 distinct problems. Cutting back chrome plated copper pipe

Hi What's the best way to do this? I have to cut the last 25mm of chrome away, to leave just the copper showing for the incoming supply connection to my shower unit. Struggling to do this with the usual mini pipe cutter I use all the type for cutting copper pipe. Cheers.

Problems unscrewing steel pipe from Iron joints/couplings

Am replacing my water tank and have realised that replacing steel/iron pipework throughout would be a massive job, as access extremely difficult in parts of the house. I have cut thru the pipework and have removed the metal cistern out of the way, and will be connecting copper (via a MI...

Connecting new MDPE water supply pipe issues at both ends

After being quoted £700+ to have my water leak rectified, I decided to do the job myself. Have got as far as laying the pipe, the requisite 750mm min deep and covered by 10mm of sand all round, but now comes the connecting at both ends bit. I am not sure whether the supply pipe is...

Bricking up side door with breezeblocks

I am about to brick up my side door to my kitchen as it's redundant with the run of new kitchen units about to go along that wall. I have cavity walls. Having not done this before I am wondering: 1. Presume I can use breezeblocks - but any specific type - I noticed B&Q seem to have...

Cutting Hole in Cold Water Cistern

Hi Am connecting the pipework from my power shower to my galvanised steel cold water cistern in the loft above. The new hole has to be (at least an inch) below the existing outlet to the hot water tank - but this hole is already very low. My questions are: 1. What's the best way of...
