    Does that mean that we can connect the basin wastepipe to the horizontal waste/soilpipe on the side (rather than the top) as nothing can go up this valve from the waste/soil pipe to the basin waste ? Would this comply with building regs ? [/url]

    We might have enough room to go for the connection on the top of the waste/soilpipe ... is there no one way valve that you can put in the basin waste pipe to prevent any backflow from the main waste/soilpipe ?
