I hear you about the CP046.... no where near as good as it should be... but we do use it to set and unset the system and has a nice photo roll round ♂️

I'm looking to see if there is any reason to update my alarms firmware. I find it's operation 'clunky' and hoping that there are updates available that may improve things.
The system is a flex050+ with a normal keypad (mk 7?) and a touch center (cp-046) keypad.

Hi folks... bit of advice regarding smoke detector location in a garage please...
We have a double garage, half of the ceiling is boarded the other half open... should I locate the smoke detector on the ceiling or is it better fitted up in the 'loft' bit?

Can anyone help and give me a steer on wiring a manvier m12 detector to my galaxy flex panel please?
I am thinking the circled variant is the one in the attached pic?
I assume I can use the earth connection to add a resistor between the zone circuit and one of the zone connectors...
So if it is a possibility to look at a dedicated pc in the future would it make sense to go separate poe switch and nvr? I'm thinking that way the nvr would effectively be replaced with a pc down the line? Software on PCs is something that hadn't really occured to me... are there any you would...

Well I definately want cameras that are of some use lol... so if I understand what you're saying that'll be min 8mp min 12fps and ip based? I understand with more detailed planning that better cameras may be better in certain positions.

So selecting right cameras is crucial... I get that. I'm more interested to know what system options there are... have I got it correct in terms of the different options... DVR or ip?

I did have a hunt round but generally what I found was more generic advice on systems where as I was trying to understand some more fundamental functionality but also the threads were quite old...
