I want to take wood lath, stain it and shellac it like crazy. On the wall, I would alter wood lath with two rows of tiny glass tiles, then wood lath then tile, etc from the floor halfway up. Is this possible? Would I mortar as normal and then nail or screw in the wood over the mortar...
