    rad problem

Fitted a couple of new rads about a year ago. I think they branch off from the main run although its difficult to tell as all pipes are in concrete. Problem is they have been getting less warm over time and now they are stone cold. one of the rads is a double 1600 x 600 high, the old rad was...

    400 x700 rad required

Ok point taken Tony. The pipes run horizontally just inder the top bracket at the moment, it would just be easier to get a 700 high rad.

    artex

Slightly unusual query but would be grateful of any help. My mother had a small water leak from the bathroom in her flat which did some minor damage to the bathroom ceiling of the flat below. The owner had an estimate for £220 to put the damage right. I told the owner to claim on the...

I installed a false ceiling in my kitchen together with low voltage lighting before 2005. (introduction of Part P I beleive). Should I have connected the metal frame of the false ceiling to earth?

Have an old vented system with 7 rads. S plan. I recently added X200 to the systen as have limescale problem/kettling etc. The boiler does seem quieter (still some noise) now but wondered if it might be worth adding another bottle to help things along or would I be wasting my money? Any help...

    BT master socket

Thanks for the reply Tickly. It is a one piece outlet box (not a separate top & bottom), I think that it must be older than the one you refer to.

    BT master socket

I replaced the BT master socket some time ago , looking at these threads it looks like that's not allowed. I still have the old BT socket, should I put it back & if so where can I get the special tool to connect the wires into the terminals?
