I've a relative new 6 month old Accenta G4 mini . Couple of nights ago it just went off for no reason with the alarm going off at 2am. I tried to reset it , but it now won't respond to anything.

Cat5, Cat6, and twisted telephone cable all work a treat. They're not carrying a (much of a ) voltage. Just untwist them, strip them back , and then pick your colour and make a connection. The only thing you have to watch for is what the ends fit it.
I've found the problem.
On the back on th AG6 there's a metal rocker switch that needs to be pressed against the wall. if it's not pressed in it gives a tamper lockout fault.

Solved the problem of the bell going off and not stopping with no tamper code.
Try putting a loop between the T and A markers of the SCB section of the board.
You shouldn't have to do this but the idiots at honeywell seem to be selling their customers short of information and support...
from the research I've done on the net the Accent g4 compact is nothing but trouble . I'm on my 3rd ( different problem each time) panel in 4 months.
