Hi, I wonder if anyone can try and advise how I set up a gardtec 595 system to accept a g-tag fob for a simple set and unset of the system for a cleaning lady (!)
I have read the user instructions but they are not the clearest to follow for a simpleton like myself !
Many thanks
Sorry fellas, I am being totally thick
When I say thermostat am I actually meaning the receiver???
What I mean by thermostat is the wee box with a dial on the front and a small digital screen above the dial showing the temperature
Where/what is the receiver?
Apologies for my thickness
But that's what I'm confused about Elite, everyone I speak to tells me that wireless is fantastic and that I shouldn't need to get it hard wired
And it will be a blooming upheaval to run wires from the boiler out to the hall ?
Hello and I hope you can give me some advice
We had a new boiler and unvented water system installed last year. Our house is a 1920's built detached job with thick walls.
Since installation we have had problems controlling the temp-we use a Danfoss Wireless thermostat. The plumber changed...
sorry, I should have said I realise the importance of sealing skirting boards etc-I am wanting to know about improving insulation and try and cut down on heating bills through loss from under the floor
Thanks
Hi Everyone
I posted this in the flooring forum but figured it might be more appropriate here.
We moved into a 1920's house a year ago and over the winter have been aware of how much draught comes up into the house from a fairly large crawl space under the house
I'd like to insulate down...

My experience is that the only way to do this job is serious graft and find a plasterer
I bought a big heavy duty scraper and a sander (remarkably cheap-25 quid in the big DIY barns) and scraped all the peaked bits off and then ran over it with my electric sander with heavy duty paper

Hi
I have a few wee "sunken" areas/slight hollows that I want to top dress to try and get them up to a similar height as the rest of the lawn
Is this the time of year to put a top dressing down for this purpose?
What should I use-I heard a mixture of john innes (???number) and grass...
Hi
I have had all the skirting boards in a room replaced with untreated CLS
I have picked up a tin of knotting solution today and intend to treat the knots before painting the wood
I have 2 questions (daft as they are)
1.The knotting job will take me 15 mins I reckon. It may then...
Hi all
I have just had all the skirting boards replaced in a room and my joiner used some nice thick untreated CLS Wood to do it
A friend has suggested I treat each indidividual knot with knotting fluid-my joiner thinks it isn't necessary and I should just prime the entire length and...
Thanks again
My mate is not a qualified sparky although has a very in depth knowledge of electrics
I am possibly going to need a qualified spark for a couple of other jobs so will ask him to have a look at it-I had just hoped it would be a simple enough DIY job !
