  • Hello Hardmetalking,

I'm going to be building an extension in Cambridge and want to use zinc for the roof. Seeing the quality of your work, I was wondering if you'd be keen to do it? It's still early stages but I've got a few questions. Could you send me your number so we could have a chat?
    Cheers, Julian
Hi Hardmetalking, I've been reading your posts about low pitch zinc roofing with much interest and think it would be the ideal choice for our extension.
Would probably be around 7 x 3m with a skylight or two (possibly a second roof as well).

However, the extension won't be happening for a year or so. So just gathering information at the moment.

I live in Gloucestershire. Do you travel? Do you/your company have a website? Could you message me some details please?

    Would be very much appreciated.
    Regards, Jon
    Hi,
I am looking for a quote to replace an existing flat felted roof with Zinc. (no existing leaks).

    Based near Colchester, Essex.
    Dimensions 15 x 5 metres.
    Good access, one single surface.
    Can you assist.
    Many thanks, Nic
Hi, I am looking for a quote for 51sqm zinc roofing. I've looked at your album and read your posts and would like VM Quartz or Anthra. Would you travel to Hampshire (nr Andover) or do you have someone you'd recommend in this area ? There are no inserts/lanterns and I have drawings if you need them for an accurate quote.
    Many thanks in advance

Hi Just spotted you on the forum and you seem the guy for zinc roofing. I've got a kitchen extension project which is planed for a single pitch roof 47 mtr sq with 3 roof lights. Can you give me a quote, i live in Stamford Lincs. Thanks

    Hi,

I would like to have a 3.5m x 7.5m flat zinc roof with 2 kerb velux windows (1m x 1m) installed. The price would need to include the entire roof structure and window costs but would like your advice on how much you would expect this to cost. I don't expect that you would be interested on working on this project as we are in Leighton Buzzard (which is a shame as your work looks like it has the high quality finish that we are after) but any advice/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Owen
    Hi,
Very interested in a zinc/stainless or copper roof if you are interested. New to the site so not too sure how it works yet!.
    Thanks,
    Carl
    Hi
Could you give me a rough ball park figure for a zinc roof on our new extension 3380x3080?? It will have one velux skylight in the roof. We live in Notts - do you work that far away? Do you have another email or can you attch photos on here as our neighbours have something similar to what we are thinking
    Thanks
    Ben
Hi, I tell a lie it's around 7.5m by 3m the back room has a major leak and the surveyor said there might be rot in the timber joists. Would be something you could deal with too? Also you wouldn't happen to do pitch roofs too? Regards
Thanks so much for replying so quickly. I thought that would be the case on the insulation. I do have exposed joists on the inside so I could insulate from there which would keep costs down. Do you travel as far as London to do jobs? I am in East Barnet EN4. Let me get my chimney repairs sorted and I'll make contact again with you if that's okay. Presumably the rough price guide you indicated does not include the cost of scaffolding - how much do you think that might be approximately? Sorry for the additional questions and thanks again!
Hi, I guess this is a common question. I've just bought a house that has a severe leak in the flat roofed back room (cheap bitumen). I've been looking at options and it's between epdm and zinc. The room is around 5m by 3m. In terms of cost is zinc very much more Expensive and are you able to recommend anyone in London to re-roof using zinc. Thanks
Hi there, you seem to be highly regarded on the forum and I wondered if you could give me an idea of the likely cost of a zinc flat roof for a second floor dormer approximately 6m x 4m. I don't want to keep covering with felt every few years and since I'll have scaffolding up to do chimney repairs before too long it makes sense to look at doing the roof too. Also, what about insulation? At present the is none so the top rooms are cold in winter and furnace like in Summer! Very many thanks.
