    1930s Front Door and Window

It is cracked but as I mentioned it's in a porch and faces away from the prevailing wind direction, so doesn't get wet

    1930s Front Door and Window

Thanks! So you reckon it is just the inner window sill and post that have moved inwards from the wall/door frame? How would I move these back so they are flush with the frame before fixing them to the wall? They are not "loose" - if I bang against it the whole window frame shakes.

    1930s Front Door and Window

We have a crack running along the window/door frame by our front door. It has been covered with wood filler over the years, but seems to get progressively worse. I've scraped away the filler / paint to see if it's just the window board becoming loose, but that seems to have a tongue that goes...

Question about overlay UFH aluminium thickness?

It won't make much difference. I have the Wunda system and the heat is spread well.

What are the Party Wall rules?

So you refused to sign a PWA with your neighbour, insisting instead that they pay for an expensive surveyor, then refused to temporarily take down your fence so they could access the side, and now complain about unsightly block wall? Sounds like the consequences of your own actions to me

New radiators colder at the bottom even with powerflush

If your radiator was the same temperature at the inlet and outlet it wouldn't have given out any heat to the room!

Wet underfloor heating advice for extension and existing area

We had exactly the same situation as you - part suspended, part old solid and new solid extension. We went with a low profile system (~20mm build up) throughout. As mentioned, it works differently to "conventional UFH", more like the fast response and low thermal inertia of a radiator, but it...

    A quick silly question…..

It would be the third floor, but the block would become four stories

This is what I did with my sectional concrete garage and it worked perfectly

Tiles falling off - new build

Don't let them use PVA. Honestly I think you should tell them to get someone else in who knows what they are doing...
