    Picasso, you must have thought I was born yesterday, I did this basic check before getting up into the loft (where the megaflo lives). Just for sanity I isolated all the toilets for a morning and then switched them back on again. Would you believe it the main toilet is leaking :oops...

    Sorry, you are absolutely right. You can see from one of the photos the saw teeth female end that connects to a male rod on each side that pushes a bolt on either side of the lock into stops on the bottom side of the window

    here are a few photos (dinosaur ruler for scale courtesy of my little boy) it operates a window hindged on either side, swings open from the top outwards, its about 800mm square.

    Had a broken window lock (window will not lock), took out the gearbox, its broken and it has been identified as a frameware gearbox, now obsolete. What can I do, will another gearbox fit/be made to fit, or do I have to replace the sash, or the whole window ?? help please

    guys I need some help, half way through a new kitchen, the contractor had some bad news my lovely Baxi condensing boiler needs a new heat exchanger (circa £600 all in), he has suggested a traditional boiler as a cheaper more reliable solution, such as Potton Prima (??), his price for the unit...

    Kitchen 3D design software

    if you are looking for something cheep, there is a free one on the Ikea website. It does use "funny" Ikea sizes but works well to give a reasonable view of what a kitchen might look like.

    working loads on kitchen cabinets for stone worktops

    problem is the worktop is a breakfast bar (900mm deep) over hanging a 600mm deep unit that is perpendicular to the wall so as little support. The weight of the peice of stone is 125kg (20 st). I have thought of getting a freind to come with me to B&Q and sitting on one of their demonstartion...

    I hoping to get someone to fit a stone worktop to some B&Q kitchen cabinet. No-one knows what the safe working load of the units is or if they will need strenthening, and if so how, has anyone had similar problems and overcome them ? :roll:
