    Temperature reading guns.

Thanks for the reply, I hadn't considered a thermal camera, I'll certainly look into it, I'm not sure whether I fall into the professional or diy category as I'm a one man band builder. I normally put my hands on things to check the temperature but it's not very scientific.

    Temperature reading guns.

There are many types of thermometer type guns around at differing prices, I basically want to be able to detect cold spots on walls and windows. Has anyone had any experience with these things. Thanks.

    Make good multi skim

Has anyone actually used b&q 's make good multi skim? How does it compare with BG multi finish? At the moment it's the only plaster that I've seen on sale. I've used their jointing compound and quite frankly it wasn't fit for purpose, but any port in a storm etc.

Tiling on top of quarry tiles

I would like to tile on top of some rather battered quarry tiles, the house is about 100 years old. is it ok to tile on top of them or do they need to be taken up, I once tried to put self levelling compound on quarry tiles but it didn't take at all well. thanks, Mark.

    Work top jig recommendations please.

I'm looking for a new worktop jig as I've just wrecked my old magnet trade jig. I've just looked on the net and the prices vary wildly . Has any one got any recommendations . I'd like a simple and accurate jig but not too expensive. Thanks.

    Advice from tradesmen

I think you're doing the right thing by keeping well away. He sounds a bit messed up to me . I've only been threatened once and I informed the police immediately , they just took notes and left, at least you now know that no matter how big the bully is, you now have the law on your side...
