the stopcock in the outhouse is leaking very badly & I need to replace it , the pipework seems co be iron, what size is it likey to be, the house is over a hundred years old, I know I need to turn off the water in the street. I have done lots of plumbing rund the house but never with iron pipe...
as far as i remember BG never flushed anything,
they just took the old boiler off the wall & stuck the new one in its place
I was told by the guy that fitted the plate heat exchanger, the reason that the heat exchanger kept packing up in the winter was because sludge from the radiators...
The secondary heat exchanger has needed to be changed again ...thats twice in 2 years. :shock:

sometimes the dearest quote isnt always the best
our old boiler packed up just before Christmas 6 years ago & the only ones who would fit a new one were BG
the job they did was rubish
leaking pipes
bad soldering
had to keep getting them back
& cost a bloody fortune
