Hi there,
I would just like to clarify something in regards to sizing a newly plastered wall.
I did this without reading up properly and I don't want to cause myself too much agro down the line.
I sized the plaster with a normal mix of wall paper paste - not a watered down version of this...
Hi there,
We have bought a house that has a concrete block garage (with asbestos roof :x )
I would like to get rid of this garage and replace it with a flat roof going from the wall of the house to the big boundary wall that you can see in the photo - it stretches from the top of the...
Many thanks for the replies.
I like the idea of a wireless room thermostat.
It is a Vaillant Ecotec Plus 837 (I will confirm this 100% later) if anyone knows of a thermostat that will plug and play.
Thanks again,
Jack
Hi all,
We have bought a house (3 bed, 30s semi) that has a 10yr old Vaillant combi boiler - it does not have a room/hallway thermostat - just the dial on the front of it.

It could have just been a wire from the garage fuse box (which has an old style 16a fuse (mini metal fuse box) and is connected to a B16 on a new CU in the house) to the house but I...
Yes, that is how it is at the moment.
I don't have a pic but basically, live from the fused spur comes in to the switch and L1 is live to light 1 and L2 is live to light 2.
Shall I just put the L2 in with L1 leaving L2 empty?
Thanks,
Jack
Hi,
I have installed a pair of flood lights (2x twin 42w) but they are on a 2 way switch so only one has power at a time. I would like to have both with power (they each have a PIR) so is a 1 way switch suitable for connecting the two?
I don't think there is any necessity for a double pole...
