Just because you can, it doesnt mean you should. When you get wash paving you they have to kiln all the joints again and potentially seal them all again. Its not just a case if jetwashing if you want to do it right.
Im not asking of ways to clean block paving, I'm asking for solution mix to use...
I try to avoid jet washing at all costs. Especially block pavers. This was also the advice from the company who laid our block paving.
They can take the top layer off and then more stuff starts to grow on it
Slabs, gravel boards and paving stones are going green.
I know diluted bleach in a spray bottle kills it but just wondering if I should add anything else. Sure someone once told me to add soda (presumably costic soda)
Thanks
Elderly couple down the road from me have just moved into a new house (their the first owners) and asked me to help the change the alarm code - no issue there.
However upon trying to set the alarm for them (which they have never previously been able to do) I keep getting a user reset alert...
That's what I thought. I was intending just to initially secure the posts with some post mix to keep them in place and then order a few cubic metres of wet cement and fill the rest. Even if if only filled the cavity up a foot or two I figured it would be stronger. Or as you say, just do a lean...
Thanks.
I guess I was trying to work out if I just secure the posts or fill the whole cavity with cement and possibly rebar.
In my head I am thinking it will make the wall stronger and the posts more secure but obviously going to be another couple of hundred pound to do that
I had a bit of land dug out and built a sleeper retaining wall with support beams every 2M. I will now be putting a 7ft fence on top, the posts will drop in the gap between the wall and soil. The post legs to where the fence starts will be slightly longer than the wall itself.
My question is...
The bricks below the damp course have become wet and this is spreading horizontally. As of yet it's not gone above. There is no water internally and there is no water in the stop tap which as you can see is quick close. I've lifted the slab up and the sand doesn't feel soden.
Really not sure...
using gravel boards to make a 3.5ft retaining wall. Apart from the weight of the soil, there will be no additional load.
Just wondered if there is any strength difference between the rock face boards and the plain ones as they are the same price for me
Seriously doubt they are oak... I'm not that rich.
Lights are Apollo led deck lights on screwfix. Would post link but can't remember if it's allowed on here
I ended up going with the small spot lights from screwfix and the look great. Tooked the transformers into an IP rated box and ran the cables behind the sleepers.
Thank you - that is good to know.
The cable goes to a small box on the outside wall. I always assumed this was for them to take meter readings remotely. The 2016 must be the expiration date as its been there as long as we have which is about 10 years. You are correct it is their problem, but I...
