Where would you source these coping stones from?

We are missing some flat coping stones from the parapet wall, as seen in this picture: https://imgur.com/a/kIEcmf9. I've tried a few reclamation yards around us (East London), and none of them have them, nor seem like they would ever get them How would you replace these?

Large area of wooden doorframe to repair around lock

Hmm, having watched that ,do you think I need to take the lock off the wood to do the work, or can I work around it?

Large area of wooden doorframe to repair around lock

Thanks Chris, Is that because it'll form a better bond in this instance, as it's not a 'pure' wood-to-wood connection I can control?

Large area of wooden doorframe to repair around lock

Hi DIY-ers, I want to repair the wooden frame around a badly installed lock. I am happy for the lock to remain, but am not sure how best to fill the badly carved out gaps in the doorframe around it. See pictures to understand. The largest part is 3cm wide X 2cm deep. I've thought of cutting...

How do I fill in the gaps between floor tiles?

I primarily wanted to fill the gaps to stop the tiles cracking in future, assuming it was best practice. Interesting thought about the silicone, though it does feel a bodge. When you say I need to remove the grout, do you just mean on the currently broken/missing parts, or ALL the tiles on...

How do I go about fixing this hearth?

Thanks @bobasd. How do I go about breaking up the hearth? Tried breaking with a mallet and some old metal chisels, but they're blunt and I don't seem to have got very far. I have to also remove an inch thick layer of concrete on a different hearth, so we can tile it, same question applies...

How do I fill in the gaps between floor tiles?

Do you mean serious because they will always fall out? Or serious that the floor underneath is moving significantly?

    Fireplace Hearth Concrete Repair

Hi @foxhole - please could you give me an idea of what rapid set cement to use for this case? I have the same problem. I am beginner-level DIYer, so am still confused on concrete/cement/mortar and their constituents - is there something you can buy 'out of the tin' to do this job repairing the...

How do I fill in the gaps between floor tiles?

See picture - some of my kitchen floor tiles have gaps between them, where for some reason they weren't grouted, or the grout has fallen out. How do I go about re-filling these gaps? Can you recommend how I would colour match without trial and error? Do I need to do anything with the existing grout?

What will leach deeper into the brick? The dirt?

How do I go about fixing this hearth?

As per title, I have an old fireplace hearth I would like to repair before painting it. I assume wall filler can't be used in this instance? It's 10mm deep, but a wide area. It will be walked on, but there is no actual fire. My level of DIY is beginner, so if there are any ready-mix products I...

Levelling hearth - what to use?

Hi Wriggles, I am facing a similar problem in my Victorian terrace, with living and dining room fireplaces. Would you mind letting me know what course of action you took, and how it turned out? Thanks :-)
