    Noob radiator question

Hi all, I have an old isolation valve in place and a contemporary rad. I need to marry the external thread to the internal thread rad as shown. What is the right type of coupler to use? Am I better off just fitting new isolation valves? If I use the existing valve does it need an olive...

    Waste pipe room efficiency

Many thanks, this is to the left of the original pic. Shower waste combining with basin water (which is the second visible 40mm neatest the wall. Previously this was hidden under the old shower tray but the shower waste was on a positive incline, one of the reasons there are a few new floor...

    Waste pipe room efficiency

Hi all, Any suggestions as to how I can make this arrangement less wide. It’s going to get boxed off but am wondering if I can save a bit more floor space. I can’t really plumb in upstream from here without making the nearest wastewater go uphill. Many thanks, D

    Soil pipe coupling help please!

Ordered from that popular ordering website. I left the boss alone, didn’t cut the rib out, fitted over easily. looks like it’ll do the job, will go around the edge with silicone too. never before did a £12 piece of rubber make a man so happy!

    Soil pipe coupling help please!

Cheers both, guess I’ve got nothing to lose by messing with the side branch. access above is ok, as it’s all exposed anyway. Below is tricky, soil runs into a boxed section in the kitchen, behind tiles. I can’t see any fixtures in the loft, the very top of the stack is wedged into the...

    Soil pipe coupling help please!

Hi all, Whilst gutting a bathroom I found a leaky soil linkage. It was an odd connection using multiple diameters. I’ve removed what I can and am left with this sleeve section. I’ve removed an inner seal from the rib. I think this is another old adaptor? It measure 50mm at the opening then...

    Knackered wall advice!

Hi all, I’d appreciate some advice regarding a poorly 1970s wall. I’ve been gutting a bathroom, which had tiles on tiles in some sections, which has been a bit of a mare to remove. as far as I can see there is a layer of skim which is quite flaky and comes off easy in some areas. The render...
