    Job done. Went with 4:1 sand:cement. I'm not laying the slabs, I let a professional do that a number of years ago :-). They've been down for nearly 10 years, just needed re-pointed. No problems with drainage. Thanks for the advice

    Hi, A complete novice here. I am re-pointing my sandstone patio. After doing a bit of research, looks like I should be using a semi-dry mix to avoid staining. My question is, for sandstone, can I simply use a cement/sand mix or should I be thinking of a lime mortar mix? Many thanks

    Brown Putty(?) Around Window and Door Frames

    I have this brown putty like substance externally sealing the gaps between the brick walls and the windows and doors. Some of it has come away so I need to replace it. Anyone any ideas on what it is called? It's light brown, has the consistency of putty and it just pushed in the gaps.

    Thanks very much for your reponse. The pressure relief valve, is that underneath the top cover? It isn't noted on my diagram. How do I open it? I would much rather get a professional round to do the job, however, the earliest I can get one out is the end of January ??? Adam

    Hi, Is there drain cock on the Grant 90 outdoor oil burner? I can't see one anywhere and I need to drain it so I can replace the pressure gauge which has stopped working. Thanks in advance, Adam
