Hi,
My Hotpoint integrated dishwasher has started beeping and flashing all it's lights whilst running. As far as I can tell it's still running during a cycle but has a pattern of beeping and flashing the lights. I've had a google to see what it could be but results only talk about 3 lights...
I’m about to re-point my patio but unsure which plasticiser to buy. I looked on Screwfix but not really sure the difference between them all. https://www.screwfix.com/c/building-doors/additives-plasticisers/cat850194?cm_sp=managedredirect-_-building-_-plasticiser
Any recommendations greatly...
Thanks for all the responses.
Guess it's a valuable lesson and literally costly in don't trust the architect :)
I'll get the window fitters to add some trickle vents to the doors to increase ventilation and somehow try and combat the moisture levels.
Thanks again
ME : "Wouldn't the fact it's hollow allow cold air to travel and hit the frame where it's warm inside and cause condensation?"
THEM : "this wouldn’t happen as the frame has a thermal break inside."
I've gone back to the manufacturer to find out if the box frame is insulated. I have a feeling it isn't but I do know there are thermal breaks where the doors are but I don't fully understand how they work as we had a lot of discussion about them when the doors were found to be fitted...
Hi Ronnie,
I can certainly ask the manufacturer to see if they are insulated. I'm assuming you're in the business so can tell you the manufacturer privately to see if you might know.
It certainly seems that showering and breathing maybe the culprit here and I guess explains why the aluminium...
Hi Harry,
It is aluminium.
I don't think it has been filled with insulation.
I know the areas that collect condensation have expanding foam below them because I saw them do it.
I'm not sure :)
But as an experiment I tried not using the bathroom closest to the window so there is as little moisture as possible but in that experiment we've still woken up with condensation.
Well the next step is the manufacturer is suggesting fitting trickle vents as they are not currently fitted to the doors.
My confusion is that downstairs we have bi-fold doors and don't have the issue therefore my only guess is that during the night when we sleep our breathing is causing it...
Hi all,
We had some windows and doors fitted 6 months ago and have condensation ever since when there is a cold night. The walls were built during the hot summer we had last year so we don't believe there is any moisture in the bricks etc that need settling.
The manufacturers have been very...
I’m trying to do a 5 min job and it’s proving to be a massive PITA. I’m try to undo the tap nut under the basin but now realise it’s very tight and wondering how the hell they managed to install it. I’ve tried undoing it with a basin wrench but discovered that’s only useful for unscrewing the...
