Hi, tbh it’s still on going. Mine is very intermittent so I’ve left it. Mine tends to shut down when heating is on quite high and someone’s having a shower. Quick press of the reset and all back to normal. My gas man said it’s more than likely the gas valve at fault.

Hi all, my 831 has been a little temperamental the last couple of days after a pcb board change. I've read the fault codes and cleared them and the same code comes back, F53. Am I right in thinking this to do with the gas valve? Are these valves repairable by a gas fitter or is it just a swap...

Hi all, had a control board go down on my vaillant ecotec plus 831. I fitted a new board today and the boiler came back to life. I was just wondering if I would have to change any settings in the service menu at all due to the new board. Thanks in advance Jim.

Thanks for the replies. The boiler is a "vaillant" eco 831. The pipe work is 15mm. I've just checked the flow rate of the hot water and fully open is about 10lpm, it gets very hot when the flow is reduced to about 3.5 - 4 lpm. This was using the onboard diagnostics

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice please. I have a valiant combo boiler and the trouble I'm having is the bath hot tap runs only luke warm unless I turn the flow right down. Would anyone have any suggestions please? Many thanks Jim.
