    Socket distance from Gas Hob

I was of the understanding that if you fit a RCBO (An RCBO is a combination of an MCB and RCD. This enables both overcurrent protection and earth fault current protection by a single unit) there was no distance requirment when i comes to placing it near a sink, other than a little common sense...

    Cable Supplying an Induction Hob

Hi self builder, you have kinda answered your own question. Not only is your power consumption too high for the cable if everything is on, but you are protecting it with a mcb that is rated higher than the cables current carrying capacity. Alway go with caution, although its been years since...

    P.I.R's

Thanks for that. I am assuming that wiring it in parrallel means the switch rating stays the same. i.e. if i purchase a pir that can switch 500 watts, then doubling up means i just need 2 pirs that can both switch 500 watts?

Help please Single Oven and 13 amp electric hob

Hi, ok i have looked at whirlpool's site and their hobs all seem to be around the 30 amp range, so there is no way you can plug it in. There is no real reason why you can't replace the flex on the hob to make it slightly longer, other than you might invalidate your waranty, might just be...

    P.I.R's

I want to switch one security light from two different places using PIR's. Is there a product to do this or do i have to get 2 off PIR's and wire them into a light? If this is the case is there a standard wiring solution for this practise?
