    Coping stone lose

I have a small section at the end of a wall where a coping stone is not being held by the cement underneath. But the weight of the stone keeps it in place and it’s actually very difficult to move and is quite stable. However, wondering is there any sort of adhesive that I can apply under to bond...

    ideal logic heat 18

I have an ideal logic heat 18 boiler but on the boiler there is only one temperature dial. I have a tank for the hot water which I believe the same boiler deals with. The same boiler also heats the central heating system. But from what I can understand this isn’t a combi boiler. Just wanted to...

Tiling large porcelain floor tiles without grout line

I’m wanting to lay 1200x1200 porcelain tiles on a floor where only 4 tiles will be enough. I’m wondering if I was to lay it with the tiles touching each other without a gap, does this work or are there downsides to this? Essentially trying to reduce the visibility of the joint and grout lines really

    Trolley Jack question

Just purchased my first halfords 3 tonne trolley jack. It came in the box with the valve open. So for me to lift it I had to turn the valve clockwise with the handle. My question is, seeing as it came with the valve open, is this the preferred storage method? after lifting a car then lowering it...

Those look good, they are 60mm so what size screws and length should I get? Considering the block is about 100mm plus the thickness of the plasterboard

What kind of bolts and wallplugs to mount heavy wall mount cabinet

It’s the aerated breeze blocks. Just winder will 95 to 100mm m8 or m10 coach bolts not work ? Using long plugs and just hammer the plug into the cavity ? Or perhaps those long hammer in type frame screws like these: https://www.screwfix.com/p/easyfix-frame-fixings-8-x-120mm-10-pack/17480

1700x800 shower tray laying as low as possible

Good point. I have one of those 90 degree angle attachments for my driver. So that may come in handy. I also have a ACDelco Cordless Ratchet ARW1209P that i use for car work and works a treat. Can tighten upto 61nm. So that might help in tightening the hex head socket driven screws

1700x800 shower tray laying as low as possible

Socket bit idea is probably better as I prefer driving using socket because it doesn't slip like screw heads do. So something like this: https://www.screwfix.com/p/turbocoach-hex-flange-coach-screws-m6-x-70mm-100-pack/22717 This will be equivalant to the 6mm that was recommended by @cdbe and I...
