I am Featheredge Boarding a Summerhouse which I am planning to paint a cream colour with Masonry Paint. Which nails / screws should I use to fix the Boarding to prevent brown rust staining. Will Galvainsed Round Wire be ok, or do I need Stainless Steel? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 20 degree double hipped roof with tiles loaded and ready to start laying. I am going to be cutting the tiles on the ground. Tiles are MiniStonewold. Should I cut each end tile as I come to it whilst laying the main tiles OR is it easier to do the cuts after all the whole tiles...

I am currently building a single storey double hipped garden room with 20 degree trusses 600mm apart and Redland Ministonewold tiles. Currently the roofing underlay and Battens (which I don't have much confidence in) are fitted. I am using decorators scaffolding which can access 2 sides...

Thanks for you advice cmother, I will check out the knots as suggested, I am going to try standing on a test piece supported 600mm a part. I am not very confident moving about the roof and I am currently using short scaffold boards across the rafters.

Please help - I have ordered and now fitted 20x50mm treated wood and not used Graded Battens as I now realise I should have. :( I thought the wood seemed very weak but thought it must be ok. :oops: What shoud I do? Take them off? add some more proper battens? Please help. EDIT...
