Masonry paint on Featheredge Boarding - will it work?

I am building a Summerhouse which I am Cladding with untreated Featheredge boarding and planning to paint with Dulux Weathershield Masonry paint.

I have tried a test piece which I have wet/Frozen and heated and seems to look fine.

Has anyone tried this and will it Crack,Flake or discolor long term?

Have you any better suggestions?

A friend of mine paints all his exterior wood work - fences, sheds, garden bench etc with masonary paint and it lasts longer than wood preservative.
