    Wireless programmable thermostat choice

Funnily enough I posted exactly the same question on here a week or so ago, and ended up getting a Honeywell 927 based on the advice given, have to say I'm totally happy with it, it's neat and easy to install and programme and it has some great features like you can tweak the current day's...

    Installing a wireless thermostat

On the Rx: NO = normally open NC = normally closed COM = the relay contact which will toggle between the two above contacts depending on whether the relay is energised or not. All the above 3 refer to the relay internal to the wireless receiver. On the ST8 connector: Ns = Neutral...

Ah yes now you mention it I do recall that the 921 is only a 24hr version.. Would you say £72 is a good price for a 927 then?

Major water leak in central heating system

Just to clarify - you said you heard water in the suspect area but weren't sure whether it was 'normal flowing down the pipe' - surely if you filled the tank and stopped it with a bung, then turned off the incoming mains, at this point everything everywhere should have been silent? If the...

Just to clarify, do you mean pay the extra and get a CM927, or do you mean get the CM921 mentioned in the original post but I won't find one for £45-£60?

Feroni/Ferroli FalconII boiler burner cutting out/restarting

Well typically since refusing to work most of yesterday it's been absolutely fine and refusing to go wrong - I'm convinced it is related to the wind since it started behaving itself when the wind died down yesterday evening... I appreciate there may be an unwillingness on this forum to give...

Feroni/Ferroli FalconII boiler burner cutting out/restarting

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate your sentiment - although I'd be grateful if you could elaborate simply out of interest; it's no problem having the guy come back and sort/replace anything (he's a 'friend of a friend' anyway, hence his flexbility and willingness to come back and do the work at...

Feroni/Ferroli FalconII boiler burner cutting out/restarting

well typically as always in these cases it was reliably 'faulty' all day whenever I tried testing it - but then when my local RGI came round to have a look it ran for 5 mins no prob and refused to go wrong :-( Then of course about 5 mins after he left it went wrong again... burner turning...

Feroni/Ferroli FalconII boiler burner cutting out/restarting

Hi there Would appreciate any advice re the following problem - I have an approx 5yr old Feroni Falcon II combi where the burner keeps cutting out - ie it runs for 2 mins or so from cold, then the flame cuts out every 30 secs or so and keeps restarting, same on HW or heating. It happened...
