Ah I see- there wasn’t too much of it but still a fair amount. Is it likely to be asbestos if it looks like polystyrene balls?

Found another possibility. The attic was boarded at some point in the 1980s, but the house was re-roofed in 2012. However I notice that the attic ‘ceiling’ boards have bolts in what looks like pink plaster… or is that AIB?? The bolts appear to have come from outside and disturbed the top layer...
