    Some basic plastering help required

Evening folks. I have offered to help a friend do a small bit of plastering (about a square meter). I attended a half day course a while back and I managed fine with an area. I cannot for the life of me remember how you prep the wall and what the bag of plaster was called (bonding or finishing)...

    Eurolock stuck and cannot remove

Hi snapped my key off in my UPVC door lock (CES eurolock). We tried everything to remove the broken key but had no luck. We took the pin out of the side of the door in the hope of removing the lock but the key has not turned it into the correct position. So we are trying to drill through it and...

Are recessed power sockets available in the UK

Annoyingly when we had the sockets placed we had the room laid out slightly differently. It is not a big deal I just would prefer the bed backed completely against the wall. I hadn't though about floor plates actually!

I may just cut out a little hole in the base of the wooden bed frame, easier! Thanks for the reply!

Are recessed power sockets available in the UK

I recently saw recessed wall sockets on a US website: http://www.familyhandyman.com/DIY-Projects/Electrical/Electrical-Improvement/install-a-wall-hugger-receptacle. Do they exist in the UK? I would love to install on behind our bed as it has to stick our an inch or two because of the plugs!

Replacement blades for Parkside circular saw

I have a Parkside (PHKS 1300 A1)circular saw and I am looking for replacement blades or an alternative I can use with it? The blade that is provided is good although I find that on thin sheet material it can rough it up too much due to its size. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Broken attachment when taking off radiator

Thanks John. The nut was on so tight that when my hubby went to unscrew it he applied a bit too much uneven force. We will know for next time :)

Broken attachment when taking off radiator

Here is the side view. I think we have either bent the bent when try to unscrew the nut that connects to the radiator or as previously mentioned we have moved it off the thread. Also we have put a cap on the end (left) as we couldn't seem to shut the valve off 100%. Any any case will we...

Broken attachment when taking off radiator

It is the nut at the bottom that connects to the copper pipe. The whole valve is now sitting slanted.
