    Replacement Damp Proof Course

Hi Guys, Could some one tell me how many stretcher bricks that I am allowed to remove in a straight run in a solid wall. Reason is that I want to fit a plastic damp proof course. The wall has been chemical injected twice and I am still suffering rising damp problems. It is of the old...

    Gable end roof tiles

Hi Guys, I have sighted along the wall and it looks OK along with the roof, it looks like the job was done like that. The wall is rendered but even without the render the tiles sre still short of the gable end wall. Tiles are concrete and look quit old(ish). Karoo

    Gable end roof tiles

Hi, Please bear with me if this topic has been up before but my problem is that I bought an older property which is suffering from damp (wallpaper coming off wall), from mid wall to ceiling. I looked outside and I see that the roof tiles do not extend outside of the gable end wall but in fact...

    Floor Slab

Thanks for the reply Noseall but as I stated if I applied ceramic tiles to the slab the (concrete surface can be rubbed away even with the flat of the hand) I would think I would be able to lift them once the tile adhesive had set as a finger can rub a groove into the surface there would be...

    Floor Slab

Well, my original question still stands. Does anybody know if there are any products that can be applied over the surface that will repair this problem without having to remove and relay the slab? Thanks for any advice

    Floor Slab

Thanks for the reply Woody but I proberly could describe it better. Even brushing it with a soft brush brings it up, its not dust but granular like sand. I suspect that if I tiled the floor once the adhesive had set the tile would lift as there is nothing solid for the adhesive to stick too...

    Floor Slab

Hi, Just had builders to lay an internal slab laid in my new kitchen extension and I am not very happy with it. Its been down about 2 weeks now and although I expected it may be dusty I can actually rub it with my finger and rub a groove into it untill I hit aggregate. I don't know if the mix...

    Tyrolean Gun

The garage is just new bare brick at the moment, I was wondering whether a trowelled render would be required as an "undercoat" for the Tyrolean finnish. Would this be advisable? and thanks lads for your help.

    Tyrolean Gun

Hi, does any one have any experience of using a Tyrolean gun. I have never used one but would like some advice on mixing, if any different mixes are available and the technique of application. I have a newly build garage I would like to apply this coating to but I understand it does require...
