What is this board called around shower tray?

Ah ok. Luckily silicone is one of the few things I am good at. Better the the pros I've had in in my opinion!

What is this board called around shower tray?

Oh why do I need rounded? I have ordered it now. I thought square would be easier at the corner between the two pieces. I did read some Amazon reviews (same product and supplier selling there) and some were complaining that one side was rounded unlike the picture so I might get away with it.

What is this board called around shower tray?

I found some scraps in the shed. This is the front and back view. Seems a high density foam like material.

What is this board called around shower tray?

Anyone know what this board is called between the floor and shower tray and where I would get it? It feels plastic-like but sounds more like wood when you knock it. I'm struggling to find the right words to search for it online! I need some more for a different shower which currently has MDF...

Pull cord switch for shower - ok to reuse slightly blackened cable?

All sorted. Copper was clean under the burnt insulation so only needed trimming back a bit and there was plenty of slack on all cables thankfully. The only difference was the new switch only had one earth terminal so I stuck both earths into it. The old switch had two. Thanks again for your...

Pull cord switch for shower - ok to reuse slightly blackened cable?

Yeah, ironically this one was installed by a pro. The previous one I did myself had no such problems!

Pull cord switch for shower - ok to reuse slightly blackened cable?

Electric shower was going a bit funny. I checked the pull cord switch and one terminal was loose. In the process of putting the switch back I overtightened something and broke it. Having removed the switch I've seen the neutral cable to the loose terminal is a bit black (see photo). Can I reuse...

Shower panels behind tray - is this right?

I have been suffering with a leaky shower for a while. Resealing didn't solve it so I got someone in to put shower panels in instead of tiles in the hope that this would provide a good long term solution. I'm after reliable function over aesthetics! Anyway he came yesterday and while he was...

Any idea if this is 6mm2 or 10mm2 cable?

Yeah, just been searching the house for a micrometer or vernier caliper and have concluded I don't have one! Cable goes straight into the ceiling by the shower and is boxed in above the CU. I could get in the crawl space in the eaves above the CU assuming all the cables go up there but might be...

Any idea if this is 6mm2 or 10mm2 cable?

10.8kW ideally or the highest possible without the disruption of changing the cable (current shower is 7.5kW). I believe the MCB will need to be changed to 50A. I'll get an electrician in to do it but helpful to know in advance what I currently have. Plumber assumed cable would be 6mm2 without...

Thanks @terryplumb . Earth cable looks like this so I guess it is indeed 10mm2.

Any idea if this is 6mm2 or 10mm2 cable?

Looking to upgrade shower from broken 7.5kW. Trying to work out whether I have 6mm2 or 10mm2 cable in the current installation (it's connected to a 40A MCB). Can anyone tell from these pictures? Copper strands seems to be just over 1mm diameter and brown cable is about 6mm diameter.
