My upstairs toilet soil pipe is going through wall and into a downpipe then direct to sewer. I want to move the toilet to the other side of the bathroom so would be bringing it around the sides of the room. So would be ina L shape, approx 2m by 2m. What would be a reasonable length i...

    Ch Upgrade

I am having my back boiler removed and a condensing combi fitted. I understand that under new regs it is mandatory to fit a room thermostat to combi. My problem is that i dont want to rip up floor boards etc to route the wiring to the current thermostat. Would it be ok to fit one of those...

    Air conditioning piping

Ok, last question (hopefully), I changed the site of the condenser unit and fitted it on the outside wall thus enabling me to keep my pipework below the manufactureres 7.5m pre-charged limit. The pipes are all connected and I was careful not to get any moisture or other rubish into the pipework...

    Air conditioning piping

Found all materials on BES. Im also guessing that I cant use conventional solder techniques for this but have to use brazing rods, is this correct? The system comes pre-gassed with enough refrigerant for 7.5m pipework, problem is my pipework is going to be near manufacturers max of 15m so...

My door has the regular handle that can open the door from either side and the locking mechanism has deadlocks. What I want is a handle/lock combination that can be opened from inside with the handle and outside with the key only. Is it possible to get this type of handle that wil still engage...

    Covering gas fire

Ok, thanks for the advice. Couple more questions though if you dont mind. 1 Why the 2 vents on the roof, thought one was air intake and other exhaust. 2 Are there any back boilers available without fire front that can be installed in hearth? Forgot to mention, boiler/fire is Baxi GF3 super

    Covering gas fire

What if the cupboard had one of those perforated radiator covers on the front of it, would it let enough air in to the boiler?

    Covering gas fire

I have a baxi back boiler with gas fire front. The gas fire is never used as the house has central heating supplied by back boiler, etc. Does the fire need to be exposed to aid ventilation for the boiler or would it be ok to build a cupboard around it? I thought all the ventilation would be...

    Flexible hose connectors

The tails are from Spain, along with the rest of the kitchen and taps, etc. Managed to find a fitting in PTS, but only from hose to 10mm pipe. Will use those and use 10mm to 15mm compression to step upto 15mm. Thanks for the help.

    Flexible hose connectors

Yes, can i use a standard compression fitting and screw onto that?
  14. K

    Flexible hose connectors

similar, but nut is reverse to that and screws onto a fitting rather than being fitted to pipe, like the washing hose ends.

    Flexible hose connectors

Have O rings both ends, one end is the tap end that has male thread with O ring that screws into tap, the other end is like a compression nut with O ring inside.
