    Ideal Logic Pump Overrun

Well it sounds like pump overrun, but he did say it doesn't have it, I actually asked twice. As I said the terminal is there, it's shown in the manual but it doesn't show it connected in the diagram. Very odd.

    Ideal Logic Pump Overrun

Ideal didn't shed a great deal of light on the subject to be honest. He said the Logics don't have a pump overrun, so I'm assuming that the P/L terminal is live only when the boiler S/L is live, and is included for ease of installation if the pump is local to the boiler? I'll find out for sure...

    Ideal Logic Pump Overrun

It's not excactly the same as your image, mine shows the P/L on the left of the boiler terminal block whereas in yours it doesn't show it. It shows it in the manual and it's also on the boilers but it makes no further mention of it in the manual. Maybe it's a new addition to their boilers, I've...

    Ideal Logic Pump Overrun

Not sure if you can see that image but it shows the pump connected to the S/L and the P/L not used, which I find a bit strange.

I'll try and post the image

    Ideal Logic Pump Overrun

Yes Logic heat only boiler on an S Plan. The P/L Terminal is located to the side of the others. Where the Blank box is on your diagram.

    Ideal Logic Pump Overrun

Not a DIY question but I know there are a few good heating engineers here. I've got a few of these Ideal Logic's to connect at work on an S Plan system, and I've noticed that there's a pump live terminal in the boiler but the manual doesn't suggest it be connected or seem to mention it at all...

Hence why I'm considering a replacment, unfortunately I never chose it, it came with the house. My original query was more to do with whether me having extra TRV's installed could have caused or contributed to these problems and whether the flow temperature setting could make any difference.

I struggle to see the relevance but I'll play along, no I lease a van and it's 11 months old.

Thanks I'll give it a try. I will get BG back in but seriously considering if it's worth looking at a new boiler in the near future rather than the hassle of this one going forward, it's 12 years old this year.

Hi, just after a bit of advice please. I have the above boiler and it keeps failing to fire until I press the reset button. About 2 years ago I had TRV's put on all rads apart from the room with the stat installed, whereas before there were 8 rads without. Since then I've had this issue. I...

    Evohome and Smartfit zone valve

Mr Robinson are you able to tell me where to go for the 230v smartfit valve head replacement? Google is giving me nothing!!!

    Evohome and Smartfit zone valve

Doesn't surprise me. Can't see that there is a bypass there then, should it have one as it is now? Not the sort of thing I'd fancy doing myself, changing taps is my limit and that tends to go horribly wrong!

    Evohome and Smartfit zone valve

I'm a bit concerned about this bypass now, in the picture above that valve seems to have been fitted on the return which dissapears into the floor. There is a T after the pump, before the zone valve which also dissapears under the floor but that could feed the bathroom radiators as they heat...
