    What have you bought today?

The screws come with the switches or the plugs, rather than the back boxes. I was thinking your 20A switches will have then on the rear of the switch :)

    What have you bought today?

You must have found some proper cheapo ones then if they didn't provide the screws. They're usually clipped into the back of the switch if they're not in a separate little plastic packet. Too late now, but I would have bought a box of these...

What have you been doing today?

Track day at the old Aintree GP circuit with the Liverpool Motor Club. I took the Grantura now it is running to give it a drive out, as it's not road legal, so I'd not been able to test drive it properly. I thought I would probably breakdown during the day (as car has been pretty much untouched...

    What’s wrong with this DRIVEWAY

I think you’re just trying to get out of paying him with spurious complaints over minor issues. You will get nowhere with trading standards with he said, she said.

    What’s wrong with this DRIVEWAY

Looking at the width of gaps in the sand between the blocks, they might be semi permeable pavers - that would mean a soakaway would not be needed. Do you know what blocks were used? I am going largely against the grain here, but it does not look like a terrible or a cowboy job. It certainly...

    What’s wrong with this DRIVEWAY

I’d definitely be concerned with the lack of the soakaway, but you’ve obviously let them continue with the job. The haunching looks strong enough to hold the drive. I’d suggest you build up the adjacent flowerbed with soil for aesthetic purposes. Not a terrible job for £5.5k. You gets what you...

    What have you bought today?

Did you get to have a fiddle before you bought them Mottie? We have very similar Neff ones. The user interface is not great on our ones. We had the microwave first, so when we got ovens we made sure we got ones with actual dials to control the temp and the function. Ours are 2 years old, so...

    Soakaways and minimum distances

I was allowed to connect the drain channels connected directly to the rainwater drains. I spoke to BC before I did it, and they were fine with me doing so.

    New Car Battery Plant

This is entirely accurate. My own company provides IT services via the AWS (Amazon) cloud. Most customers choose Ireland for the DC even though they are UK based. Makes no difference to user performance and the e EU location ticks the box for data protection concerns. However we also use DCs...

Shifting a pallet of tiles from A to B...

I’ve used Palletways before. Not terribly expensive- they have their own pallet trolley
