Some renders say you can prime cracks and paint but I think you should probably give EWI a call and see what they say. Good luck :)

What product are you using for the render? I assume you gave the blocks a good soaking before you put the render on. My topcoat (Baumit) needed primer between the base and top coat... did/does yours need anything like that?

I was going to say if it was the floor it’s not big enough to worry about.
