Thanks. Yeah, I’ve been a bit slow in keeping this thread updated…and to be honest a bit slow at doing the build as life’s been quite busy!
So what’s been happening:-
I ran all the wiring for the first fix electrics quite a bit earlier in the build, so that meant I could get straight on with...
I don’t get lounge passes with my Amex…but I do get companion vouchers, so when we fly next week Clare comes with me for free.
My flight was free as well (air miles) but I did pay the taxes…so it qualifies for this thread :D

We’ve been through quite a few kettles, from very expensive ones to cheapos. The only ones that seem to last for any decent period of time are Kenwood ones. They’re nothing fancy, but do the job and will last 5 or more years.

What product are you using for the render? I assume you gave the blocks a good soaking before you put the render on.
My topcoat (Baumit) needed primer between the base and top coat... did/does yours need anything like that?
