ok I'll have to do the maths and work out the best value/hassle. B&Q are doing 3 for 2 on both types at the moment. Trade is 2.5l tins and retails stuff is 10l
I think I'll give the roller ago, I've got some cash to spend at B&Q so I'll get some rollers and some decent brushes.
Any comments on the paint to use?
I've used this stuff Zinsser Perma White Interior Mildew Proof Paint - Satin
about £15 for 1l its white but can be coloured. I've found it to be very good and I've had no more mould in my reveals
I need to get the front of my house painted this summer its not been done for probably 10yrs. Its an 1820's built stone cottage so the walls are quite rough. I've got about 100 sqm to paint (its the front and one end of the house) My farther in law has a scaffold tower which I'm going to borrow...
thanks for that just the kind of info I was after! Doesn't seem to be much in it when it comes to cost, both are around the £2k mark
Pressure wise we get over 6 bar in our current house and I can't see the new place being much different its only 20yds up the road
I'm more concerned about a decent amount of hot water. We've just done our bathroom up with a nice big walk in shower 6 inch head, body jets and an airbath (this has a fancy electronic mixer valve which has a max setting of 50 degrees), our 12/15 heatslave just about copes with this. I can have...
that would be about right, if you didn't take in to account crappy SWW pipework and other factors. Actually its probably nearer to 300ft as we're not quite at sea level, and the SWW holding tank is in a bit of a dip rather than right on top of the hill . Any road up we get quite a high...
I’ve just inherited my mums house and as its bleedy freezing I need to stick some CH in it as one of the first jobs! Its about 200 years old, stone walled effort, 4 bedrooms so a reasonable size. I currently have a Worcester Bosch heatslave in my own house so was going to put a new external...
We’ve got a Worcester Bosch heatslave oil boiler, and I think its heating thermostat is a bit knackered.
In the past we’ve hardly ever had to set the boilers heating control higher than 1 or 2 as the house doesn’t get that cold, but lately we find we’ve got to keep turning the heating...
