    Television sockets

No I am just going on what my spark told me. As said before they will be hidden behind the TV and so appearance does not matter. There will not be any power cables in that area as they will be running vertically from the adjacent power sockets. Thanks again for your input

    Television sockets

Thanks for the reply, Sorry for the lack of detail in my post. I am building a new house and was hoping to hide all the sockets for the tv's etc behind the tv. It would be a lot easier if I could put the aerial sockets in the 300mm gap beween the power sockets and the corner of the room.

In a new build are the rules for positioning tv point wallplates the same as sockets in regards to minimum height and distance from room corners?

    Supawall Timber frame

Yes I have gone for the supawall system and the walls are up waiting for the roof to be added this week. The panels can be made in any size you want but can be as big as 8.4meters long and they are heavy and a crane is recomended. My external walls were in place in under 2hours (12 panels...

    Plastering v tapeing

Thanks for the info, I have been led to believe there would be a large price difference. Time to get some quotes I think. Totally agree with you that stud wall are not the greatest and I initially wanted to do a traditional build as and am using a local builder who always says he would do...

    Plastering v tapeing

Thanks for the reply, As it is a timber framed house I do not really have an option but to use drywall, and Timber frame was chosen because of the insulation values that are obtainable and the speed of construction.

    Plastering v tapeing

I am planning a new build and trying to get an idea of the costs. All the house will be all drywalled. I am planning on taping the bedrooms and bathrooms but am undecided on the living room and kitchen/family room Would there be a noticable difference in finish if they were skimmed...

    Kitchen cabinet downlighting?

Well I have to disagree with you there I am afraid. I have fluorescents at home which do give good light but require to be hidden. These leds are simply recessed into a panel that is attached to the underside of the cabinets giving a modern clean look and the light from them is very good...

    18V dewalt batteries

Could do but that would mean I would have 12 dewalter tools without any batteries. Have not had any problems with them so far.
