Repressurizing the boiler with external filling loop

Thanks. I have just tried and the second screw (N2) didn't move. I did not force it at all, but was thinking of putting a bit of wD40 first, would that be the way to go Cris

Repressurizing the boiler with external filling loop

I have a Glow Warm Felxicom which is displaying 0.4 for system pressure. Hot water/ heating are still working but on the label it says to repressurize if it goes below 0.5. There is no filling loop below the boiler, but there is what looks like one in the next room by the water tanks. I seem to...

Fixing a shower screen over a bath with uneven surface

Sounds about right :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: However, I just wanted to understand my options before calling someone to sort it out. The curtain won't work by the way, because the shower head on the wall is just about a tiny bit over the tap, so the water spalshes right back into the corner and drips...

Fixing a shower screen over a bath with uneven surface

I would like to fit a fixed shower screen over the bathtub but both the wall and the end of the bath have tiles which sticks out quite a bit, I would say 7-10mm. What would be the best way to achive this? I have considered removing the tile side border which would allow the screen to be put...

    Dishwasher leaking, need advice

I have a slimline Beko DE 2542 FW dishwasher. It leaks. Lots of water on the floor, the water comes from the front side, I can see it trickling down between the door and the hinge. I have checked the seal around the door and it looks in very good condition. It started with a small leak and...

    live wire detector-needed?

It is a council estate, not sure what year, it seems to have concrete walls with a heavy plaster coating. I tried drilling once and the drill bit with the hammer action wasn't going in after the plaster coating (although I did not push, just in case)

    live wire detector-needed?

Would wire/ pipes etc just be embedded behind the plaster rather then deep into the concrete?

    live wire detector-needed?

I have to put up a number of shelves and cabinets in my flat. It is a council property so I assume the wiring is done to regulation, so cables should run up or down from plugs etc. However, I still not feel very confident as there seem to be many plugs, pipes etc. I bought a stud/ wire locator...

The oven cable is about 1 cm thick (10mm). The three cables inside are 5mm each.

electric oven and hob plug- hard wire

If I can really do this it would be the easiest by far. Are there any risks to this?

electric oven and hob plug- hard wire

I've just realised that the dual outlet plate is too bug for the space in the wall available. i have a cable running at the top and the gas pipe just below. So I suppose is back to wiring the oven with a cable and 13 amp plug for the cooker socket...? I can't find the amp anywhere on the oven...
