Have got s reg ex bt transit , both front arches are totally rotten a pal tells me he will fibreglass arches opposed to weld in new ones cos theres a big saving and assures me rust will not come back through is this right ?

was damp proof course fitted , if not rendoring is pointless. imo i would take it down and replace with facing brick thus eliminating any future maintenance ie painting etc

valves you are turning are either isolation valves to sink or washing machine, valve you should be looking for is brass in colour and may have blue plastic pipe one side and copper the otherdepending on age of building ,once correct valve is located and fully turned off cold water at kitchen...

best way to fix pan to concrete/screed floor is on sand/cement mortar bed , a little messy but once cured it ain't going anywhere,can still use 2* fixings aswell but not required,just cosmetic
