Thanks for the reply. The bottom blue lines would be flush onto the UPVC, but the fittings (based on blinds ive fitted before) wouldnt come out far enough to clear the window handles on the left window, rest would be ok. Are there any other fittings that would extend out from this. Like an arm...
Evening all. Hoping someone can advise. I want to hang some 50mm wooden blinds in this bay window. There is no recess to allow me to fix above so it's more of an exact fit.
The below pic shows the full bay. Ideally id like to keep the wooden frame/surround feature around the UPVC windows...
Hi. Pretty sure this is a quick answer. Looking to sort this waste pipe so that it drains into the drain. Water currently goes all over as the flow is quite fast coming out. Tried changing the drain cover around but same issue. The pipe fittings at the bottom are welded so I cant adjust.
I had...
Its timber. Seems like a very thin plywood has been used to make an arch to box it in. I decided to poke something through it to see if there was any resistance, but just seems very hollow. It needs to come off as it looks a mess and like you said will prob reveal greater detail into where the...
Thanks for the reply. Render does have a few cracks on the outside so will get that looked at aswell. Hoping that bit isnt too much of a job. Internal casing will definately need a full replacement tho looking at it.
Hi all.
Hoping someone can offer advice on what type of tradesman I need to fix this.
We have an arched landing window, but over time the internal casing has started to come loose and flake away. The recent weather has made this worse and theres a small leak somewhere that causing the casing...
im due to get the whole lot replaced at the start of the new year. theres only one part of the guttering thats cast iron & thats the front downpipe, the rest is standard half round plastic.
all i want to do is replace the centre piece of the downpipe to plastic as a temporary measure until...
downpipe came loose at the weekend. Doesnt look like im gonna be able to refix using the current fixing.
as a tempory measure can I fit standard 68mm to the exisiting top & bottom sections?
Any special fittings that I may need?
cheers ChrisFrost.
im running a pair anyway, but no need for an extra as thats enuff. i def wont be digging it up again as its running alongside kerb edging on the drive to my shed.
know anywhere to get the armoured stuff?
thinking of running RG6 coax cable undergroud. only around a couple of inch under and a 25m run, but will i experience any issues. read on a few other forums that i may experience rot in a few years. just wondering if anyone else has done this or had issues.
yeh thought thats what you meant. sounds like i need tools for that!! to be honest im quite happy with how it looks now, but just need them 1-3mm gaps filling in. a lad at work suggest decoraters caulk then lightly sanding.
im due to stain, would this be an option? any particular make of caulk?
