Yes, when there is no pipe it's fine, I have managed to get it on, over a few threads and gave it a reasonably hard pull and it all stayed together. I think the trap must have crappy threads I think, anyway. Next weekend will test it with water as I need to pop out, hopefully it will hold

Flexi appears to fit fine, if I were to do the nut up without the flexi in it, it seems to go in fine. I have attached a pic of what it looks like when I push the flexi in, I think its because the black seal is sitting proud?

Yeah so I have placed the plastic nut and washer on the spigot and the black seal and done all that, I'll try again, sounds like I'm doing it right, just doesn't seem to want to grab

From what I can see, and I will need to measure this, the holes for the pipes need to be the diameter plus 4-6mm. I am guessing that this is likely to hopefully give enough lateral movement to push the panel into the corner part?
