Anyone got any opinions on which of the above to go for. I'm thinking of buying the 8"Bosch saw. Wanted the dewalt stand as I've heard it's really good but would a Bosch saw better with a Bosch stand? Are the wheels much use on the gta3800?
Opinions welcome! Also any better ideas for a truly...
Thanks muggles. There is actually a difference - the nano tool has a small foot which fits the battery better than the old shape tools. There's no actual difference inside, just appearance, that's all. I'm just a bit of a detail freak I suppose!
Hi there - thought I'd lay down a challenge here.
What's the best price that you guys could find for the Dewalt SDS Drill - model DC213. I'm looking for the 18v Nano (Lithium) one - naked tool only.
I found it cheap on Buck&Ryan but it appears to have gone out of stock.
Can anyone...
I've just had a new fireplace fitted with a granite hearth. On top of the hearth is a gas burner with metal feet. The gas installer didn't bother to fix it down. The metal feet do have holes in but I really don't want to drill the granite mainly because the holes will be there for ever but also...
Don't know if you're still following this Big Al but I got fed up wth the angle driver. Called Bosch who picked it up, and today they sent me a new one. It's a totally different tool. Just as I expected - much more control. Bosch are back in my good books!
Well both big Al. Initially it was just playing, as you do with power tools! I did some tests today and it really does seem it's all or nothing with this trigger. Most of the time you just want to ram the screw or drill in at full power anyway, but it makes delicate screwing impossible really...
It's all in the middle! The actual movement is smooth, but there is no electrical contact until half pressed, then within about one mill it goes from very slow to very fast. Ie it's very hard to keep it going slowly.
I agree the electric clutch thing is wierd but I'll prob get used to that.
Sorry I'm harping on about this Bosch 10.8 range again (which I'm really liking) but wondered whether anyone else finds the trigger on the angle driver too sensitive? Mine goes almost halfway in then the whole speed range comes in the next millimetre of trigger movement, then its at full speed...
Yep having had a closer look I don't think there's actually anything wrong with mine. I think that when it's over on the 45 it's tempting to push down rather than diagonally down, which together with the weight of the motor tends to flex on the sliding arm. If I hold the motor up a bit and...
Yeah not sure I would necessarily judge value in te thickness of the instruction book! (no doubt written in 9 languages). I like toolstop too I managed to knock them down on a dewalt jigsaw.
What's a mof blade? Do you mean gop?
Not sure I need the gsr in the toolstop deal I've got the one...
Has anyone got the Bosch 10.8v led torch? I've got the other 10.8 kit which is great but I was thinking of adding the torch merely to complete the set. Is it any good or a waste of money? By the time I've bought it (£25) and another battery which would be useful (£30) it's going to be an...
