    ok, fair point, as breezer points out fix the cordless under a window, remember if its on the ground floor , rcd, dont think this will be part p, as you did not install the wire!!!!!

    come on guys it was a serious ?, i would recomend the cordless 13amp, it operates at 250ghz, just screw it to the wall and tune it in to your ring main, the ring will spot the new hardware and load the cable required, switch of the power and reboot your meter, all should work.!!!!!

    Hi , as well as previously posted, with the mains on and no battery, check for 12v from the batt. leads, gardiner tech, or gardiner security will be able to supply a battery, but you may have to try an electrical supplier as you are non trade, :)

    hi again, think i have found what you might have there. I believe it is based on a telephone system, ie like in a small office, shop etc, each flat is the equivilent of an extension on the system, just like when you phone an office, and the operator can then cause a telephone in another office...

    hi, are you sure the existing system runs on 2 wires??, been fitting entry systems for years and have never seen any like that, especially with the age it is, can t in a million years see that universal handset working, most systems need the following, all 5 wires, 2 for speech, 1 common, 1 call...
