GASTANK, DO YOU NOT GET IT??? we need more info!!!!!! socket??? what sort of socket? there are all kinds of wierd and wonderful sockets out there! what sort of circuit are you wiring this socket into? ring or radial? rating of circuit protective device? Where in the circuit are you wiring it to?
If you can't answer these questions, get an electrician, for your own sake.
