I've had a look at the wiring for the new thermostat.
Currently my wiring is:
Red - live
Blue - neutral
Yellow - switched
On the attached wiring diagram, does this translate to
L - red
N - blue
COM - yellow
Is that right?
I currently have a Salus ST620
I think it's a S-plan. System boiler and unvented cylinder
I've checked the wires at the existing thermostat and i have live, switched live and neutral.
Hi,
I currently have a wired thermostat which I'd like to replace with a wireless one.
Do I simply swap the new receiver with the existing thermostat?
The one I'm thinking of getting is this:

Just to fully close this thread with an update: went through the Viessman fixed price repair route. The cost was £312 and they did replace the PCB. Boiler is working fine now :)
He also confirmed that although the boards are used by both system and combi boilers, the boards are factory locked...
An update: he was trying to fit a second hand board (to save me money apparently. Funny how he said that as soon as I told him I'd rung Viessmann). Viessmann told me that the only way the value wouldn't change is if the board was from a factory supplied boiler.
Anyway, I'm now getting a...
Yes he mentioned some sort of connection he had to make. What he was puzzled by was when it was flashing 1 on the display, he turned the left knob all the way right and said the numbers should go up but it stayed at 1.
How would I tell if he's fitting a used pcb? He said the part was about 300...
Hi,
Can someone tell me if I need to get someone who knows viessmann boiler.
Boiler not firing, Engineer says the PCB not firing because of FF error. He got a replacement PCB, tried to fit it today.
Engineer says he can get into service mode, but not set the PCB to match the boiler model. It...
Is it worth using repair putty or shall I just leave it to the plumber? Only reason I'm thinking of using putty is if plumber isn't immediately available
It's never cold where the pipe is. It's got a drip coming through now and then.
I've not seen a joint like that before. Is it two pipes joined together, or is it a single pipe that's designed differently?
See attached pic. Pipe looks like its about to split? How has that happened? Didn't think pipes were joined like that?
Going to get a plumber to fix it. Just curious as to what's happened.
