Thankyou! Have just been on ebay and bought a grout rake, so will have a go at doing it myself and if all else fails will call in a professional, if they'll come for such a small job!
No unfortunately not, we've got them elsewhere but the dolphins stick out of the tile so a sticker wouldn't sit flat. I've tried the water slide transfers but you can still see the dolphin shapes through. Shame, it would'nt be so bad if they all were in line and perfect tiles but the fact that...
Hi all,
We have just moved into a rented property, we can do pretty much whatever we like to it. In the bathroom there are bog standard white tile seperated at the midway point with some absolutely disgusting dolphin/shell tiles half of which are cracked and appear to have been polyfillered...
He didnt explain anything about topping up, or the pressure - the info I know on it has come from you all. Worse still I asked him to quote for installing a radiator in our garage - we use it as a playroom and the main gas supply comes through there, but he said it wouldnt be worth doing as...
Lol, it's inside a cupboard so wasnt too bothered about that, more concerned with the water damage to the house! And now the radiators wont heat up! We are desperately going to need hot water as daughter has just come out in chicken pox! Looks like will just have to find the money and get on the...
The boiler was only fitted two weeks ago so surely the pressure relief valve should be in full working order. The guy was here a whole day and took up floorboards, carpets you name it, place looked like a bomb had gone off at the end of the day, not that that matters if we are having to mess...
Okey doke. Thanks for this, i had an idea it might be that bit, have bled the radiators and that's taken it to 2.5 instead of the inital four but thats still too high so will do as you suggest with the filling loop. Here's my pics of our mess - sorry boiler set up!
Thanks guys, pardon what will seem to you like a stupid question, which is the filling loop? The manual for it seems to have gone awol so I cant refer to a pic guide to find the parts you mention. If I take a pic of the boiler set up would that be of use? Many thanks - sorry for being so dim...
Hi all, here's hoping you can help. A few days ago I posted a message about our heatline vizo boiler not igniting and some of you very kindly helped me out with some advice as the pressure on the boiler had dropped too low, I opened the valve and the pressure crept back up, closed it again and...
Thanks both for your help! Have deduced from what you have both said that the bit I described as having no tap on it actually should have a tap on it, so I gripped it with some pliers and turned it and alas we have life and a decent pressure again. Thank you so much. I just know the plumber...
Hi Kevplumb, it does look like that but the bit in your pic with the white tap on - there is no tap on it. It just has a screw style inside but then nothing actually screwed into it, if that makes sense.
There is a braided pipe which is connected to the pipe at the boiler with a red valve, however when opening the red valve nothing at all happens, following this particular pipe down there is a screw with a flat head style top and an electrical tag underneath and directly after another screw the...
Hi all, we have a heatline vizo boiler, it was only installed last week and has been working fine, it has the correct size pipes to it too. This morning however the pressure on it has dropped really low and as such it wont ignite so we are without heating and hot water. There are several pipes...
Thank you for all your replies, hopefully you will have enabled my husband to come out from the dog house! I've read all the info and yes as you have guessed he did just bunch them all together without realising the significance of the red on the black. Will wait till morning to have a go at...
