Dear Onetap and others who replied, many thanks again. I've had another look and on the other side of the stud wall is indeed an automatic vent (the type you normally see in the airing cupboard?). Do I need to replace this when I change the rad or can I do away with it? Many thanks Stuart

Thanks for the reply, however the only pipes coming from the cold water tank appear to be for the pumped shower which works fine. The tank is definitely re-filling.Also the cold water tank contained quite warm water last night! Any other ideas? many thanks Stuart

Hi there could anyone help me to work out why a thermostatic mixer shower fed by mains cold and tank hot isn't getting as hot as it used to. I've tried turning the cold pressure down a bit but then the entire shower pressure is not great. Any ideas please? Thanks in advance
