Hi there

a firm I do maintenance work for asked to come and take a smell in their kitchen It smelt of gas fumes. When I looked at the top of the boiler at part of the flue assembly there were two brass hexagonal headed screws. One was screwed tightly in the other completely out. Should this be screwed in as the fumes were coming from the hole. I'm not CORGI registered so wouldn't dream of doing anything other than perhaps screwing this screw in if it should be in.

Can anyone help please?

This is the flue gas analysis point that should oly be removed when testing flue gas content. ALL other times it should be securely done up

Do not let anyone use the boiler until it is replaced properly.

Thanks guys but just to clarify, there are 2 holes and nuts, should they both be securely closed?

Thank you
