Thanks. I definitely need something with a solid fit into the pipe. It's probably difficult to see in the photos, but the clay pipe appears to have a broader rim that won't allow for something to fit over it.

Does the plastic adaptor just push into the clay pipe without anything else to hold it in place? I wondered if it needs to be secured with a sealant.
