I managed to get this looking much better with a bit of improvisation. I removed the bottom screw, which just created enough of a gap to allow me to wedge in wet wipes using a filling knife. The results are pretty good.

No. It's always been like that. Just the fixed glass panel sitting in the frame, with the frame behind it at the bottom. There's no sealant between the bottom edge of the frame and glass on the inside so soapy water gets in. It was like that when I moved in a year ago. Only just got to the top...

Why is it doing that?

My combi boiler is a Vokera Easi-Heat Plus. It's losing pressure when the heating is on but not when running hot water. The pressure drop doesn't affect the heating, ie the rads warm up and stay warm. I simply top up the pressure each time. What's the mostly likely cause of the pressure drop...

I don't fully understand this. What's the purpose of taping the overflow and what's the sponge if the overflow is sealed off?
