Either one of those options is perfect, thank you.
May decide to move the FCB down actually as that is potentially going to be behind some furniture and then it's only a 2 switch on the wall still, so no changes are required there.
Thanks.
Thanks for the reply.
Ah ok, yes I thought I would be able to come off of it, but was hoping there was a way to have a double switch with a fuse rather than having two boxes on the wall, just for neatness.
Thanks
Hi,
I recently moved into a house and in the conservatory there is a fan and 12w light which is controlled by a single light switch with a fuse.
Now I'd like to connect an outside light to this as well. Is this possible? Assuming that I cannot just change that single fuse switch to a...
Oh my god it has just started working!
I fiddled about by putting the temp up and down to try and hear it click and first two times it didn't click, but tried a 3rd time and it clicked and the boiler has fired up and the heating is on!
Now, I am hoping this has fixed it for good, but if it...
Thanks for the reply.

My back box looks deeper than the one in that pic! I have got a feeling it might be a 25mm after all, sorry! I am going to have to whip it off and measure up. It maybe that I switch the MK socket for a thicker fronted one like in the pic though.
Its a stud wall.
I think i'll take the socket out again this week and see if I can get the back box out and replace it with a deeper one.
Though a spacer could be an option, but then i'd need longer screws I guess!
Thanks
Martin
Thanks for the replies.

How hard would it be to change that for a 25mm deep one? The socket I want to fit is just a standard white one.
I have plasterboard...
