    USB Splice and connect

That might be a shout, although its some chinese cheap stuff with god knows what the device might transmitting, I am tied to the Tuya/Smart life ecosystem and works very well with Alex and such. So maybe if i'm feeling brave could flash it. I have a second one I bought for my main gaming PC...

    USB Splice and connect

Basically its this nifty little thing. Decided aginst splicing the USB cable's cables are like 26AWG and fiddly. Instead just bent the metal mesh a bit to allow the USB to go through. Works quite well this device, has a little 433 button too.

    USB Splice and connect

I want to cut a USB cable in half and pass the the cable through a small hole inside my PC case. Then join then using a 12v DC connector. The USB A end will connect to the back of the motherboard and the micro USB end will plug into an IoT remote PC power button. I was thinking to use those 12v...

Hmm not ideal because this desk is intended to go inside a loft eave. Therefore it's only 5inches to the "ceiling" also not really a fan of the look.

Apparently it can be done! Same tabletop and bracket!! (although I said 330mm, seem 480mm or 580mm is more appropriate) Clearance of 480mm brackets: He is using several brackets, which makes me think, I could use the Alex drawers beside that a bracket and one bracket at the other end...

It is a brick wall. Its the party wall. What if I was to use a 25mm thick plywood piece on the wall too. 500mmX500mm say? And bolt that into the wall and the bracket into the plywood and brick?

Folding is rated at 500kg, non folding (on page 1 of this thread) is rated at 150kg. So not worth adding a layer of plywood between the bracket and tabletop (600mm x 300mm x 25mm) DxWxH - to spread the backet's weight-bearing capability?

    There is another L bracket that is rated for 500kg - is 580mm (92% of tabletop depth) and the bracket wall itself is 178mm tall: Dimensions (A x B x C): 330mm x 82mm x 134mm 380mm x 82mm x 134mm 480mm x 82mm x 152mm 580mm x 82mm x 178mm

I see what you're saying. I really really dont want a leg lol. This is like my current desk: What about adding like a large wood/ply sheet underneath the tabletop, that bracket is secured to. So bracket -> wood/ply sheet -> tabletop. The ply sheet could be 20mmx200mmx600mm (HxWxD). For...

And you reckon a longer bracket that covers 70% of the depth isnt enough to avoid adding a leg?

Great! There is one small issue with that, and I know this is being finicky, but I want to have the desk about 2 inches away from the wall to allow for a LED light strip to go all the way around. And at that point mounting the tabletop away from the wall on wooden battens might defeat the...

Brick :) So that is my concern, so is the 330mm long bracket (half desk depth) enough, or is longer 480mm/580mm (76% or 92% of tabletop depth respectively) is better, presumably yes but is it neccessary to go that long? And you see from my quick mock, the bracket will be inset away from desk...

So I'm not sure why but have very little luck on this forum for valuable or useful advice, just straight up dooms day scenarios! So, what I am asking is whether the bracket, which is rated for 150kg (another similar one for 500kg), will it be enough to support the desk, with few light weight...
